It's hard to believe summer is starting to wind down already - kids are going back to school, nights are getting cooler, days are getting shorter and wedding season is really picking up in Chicago as fall approaches. We couldn't let summer come and go without a little backyard pool party and who better to do that with than our friends at minnidip?!
I've known Emily Vaca, the incredibly creative boss lady behind La Vaca and minnidip, for a few years and I am constantly inspired by her. This year I was so proud to watch her take the jump into full-time entrepreneurship and now she's killing it (hello, Target)! Her line of luxury inflatables is so fun and unique, and makes for a stylish, colorful addition to any backyard, balcony or roof deck!
For this month's tablescape shoot, we used the minnidip "Splash Outside the Lines" as our palette inspiration. I love the bold blue and white pattern - this is a trend I'm seeing everywhere from home design to wedding tablescapes. We were lucky enough to work with West Elm Chicago for this shoot as well - their bright textiles were the perfect addition! One of my favorite elements of this entire setting was the Constellation plate with bits of gold and sparkle. They're almost too pretty to eat off...almost.
My boys invited a friend over and got to splashing outside the lines!
